ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 47, CA — Today, the Christy Holstege for Assembly campaign proudly announced the Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW) endorsement. SEIU-UHW is a healthcare justice union of more than 100,000 healthcare workers, patients, and consumers united to ensure affordable, accessible, high-quality care for all Californians.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of SEIU-UHW for my campaign for State Assembly,” said Christy Holstege. “This endorsement reflects our shared commitment to advancing the well-being of working families and ensuring that every Californian has access to quality healthcare. From bolstering mental health services to expanding access in underserved communities, I pledge to champion policies that prioritize the well-being of our residents. Together, we will tirelessly work towards creating a future where every individual can thrive, and no one is left behind.”

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of endorsements from Governor Gavin Newsom, Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas, and the California Democratic Party. The closely watched seat remains a top pickup priority for California Assembly Democrats after Holstege lost to her GOP opponent by just 85 votes in 2022, in one of the closest races in California legislative history. Incumbent Republican Assemblymember Greg Wallis currently holds one of the most endangered seats in Sacramento. Christy’s campaign continues to out-raise and out-work her Republican opponent, garnering high-profile endorsements and significant local grassroots support.
